Welcome to the offline services page of the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court Bar Association Law Library. We understand the need for offline support to ensure continuous access to legal resources. Below is a list of offline services offered by our library for our esteemed members.

1. Library Membership Registration

New members are required to register in person at the library's front desk. The registration process involves submitting the necessary documentation and membership fees.

• Required Documents: Identity Proof, Bar Association Membership Card, Address Proof.
• Fees: Membership fee details are available at the library.
• Operating Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM

2. Book Borrowing and Return

Members can borrow or return books during library hours. A manual record system is used for tracking books borrowed and returned.

• Borrowing Limits: Maximum of 5 books per member for 14 days.
• Late Fees: A fine will be levied for overdue books.
• Operating Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM

3. Reference Services

In-person assistance for legal research and reference queries is available. Library staff will help members find case laws, statutes, and other legal texts in the physical collection.

4. Library Orientation

5. Case Law and Legal Text Search Assistance

Library staff are available to assist members in locating and accessing physical copies of case laws, statutes, and legal textbooks. This service is particularly helpful when the online portal is not accessible.

• Request Process: Approach the front desk with the title or citation, and the staff will assist in locating the material.
• Operating Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
